WHAT THIS WEBSITE PROCESSES

Website analytics

We use a self-hosted installation of Matomo at analytics.lynas.me.uk to understand how the website is used, which pages are useful and which links or actions visitors use. Matomo is configured without first-party tracking cookies. Analytics data is used for aggregate website statistics and service improvement, not advertising.

You can opt out of Matomo on this browser at any time:

Server and security logs

Our hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps and security events. This is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website. Logs are kept only for the periods required by our hosting and security configuration.

Accessibility and display preferences

If you change the website's display options, those choices are stored locally in your browser. They are not sent to Re:Wired or included in analytics.

CONTACTING US

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message. We use it to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, take steps you ask us to take before entering into an arrangement with you.

We keep correspondence only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, our relationship with you, legitimate record-keeping, or legal obligations.

BOOKINGS, DONATIONS & EXTERNAL SERVICES

Re:Wired Wednesday bookings are handled by Ticket Tailor. When you choose to book, you are taken to Ticket Tailor and the personal information used to complete that booking is handled through their service. Our public website only retrieves non-personal event information such as dates and availability.

Online donations are handled by Donorbox. When you choose to donate, information needed for the donation is processed through their service.

Opening hours are synchronised from Google's public Places service through our server. Visitors' browsers do not send their browsing information to Google merely because our opening hours are displayed.

These external providers have their own privacy information and may process data outside our direct website environment.

WHY WE PROCESS DATA

Depending on the situation, our lawful bases under UK data protection law may include:

  • Legitimate interests — operating, securing, understanding and improving our website and services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Contract or steps before a contract — where you ask about a booking, hire or other service.
  • Legal obligation — where records must be retained or disclosed because the law requires it.
  • Consent — where we specifically ask for it for a particular optional use.

WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH

We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate the website and our services, including hosting/security providers, Matomo on our self-hosted analytics server, Ticket Tailor for bookings and Donorbox for donations. We may also disclose information where required by law.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights including access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. You can contact us at [email protected] to exercise a right or ask a privacy question.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your personal data is handled.

CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

We may update this notice as the website and our services change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its revision date.
