Re:Wired Wednesdays combines a structured, interactive learning session with plenty of time to enjoy the museum and arcade. You do not need to be an expert gamer or know anything about technology before you arrive.
Games & Creativity
Discover game design, famous characters, gaming history, heroes of technology and the ideas and people behind the things we use.
Interactive Discovery
Sessions are designed to be hands-on and interactive, using Re:Wired's collection, demonstrations, challenges and discussion rather than feeling like a classroom lesson.
The Wednesday programme
What happens when you arrive?
Each session follows the same simple structure, so young people know what to expect while the topic itself changes from week to week.
Check in & take a seat
We check everyone in on arrival and give them time to get settled before the structured part of the evening begins.
One hour of interactive learning
We explore a different technology or gaming topic together — from communications tech and video to consoles, game design, characters and heroes of technology.
One hour of free play
For the second hour, the museum and arcade opens up for free play on our available consoles, computers, arcade machines and other kit.
Drinks & snacks: refreshments are available to buy during the evening at an additional cost.

For parents & carers
A supervised club for ages 8–14
Young people do not need coding, gaming or technical experience. The evening has a predictable structure, but each week's topic is different. We aim to make sessions welcoming, engaging and accessible, with time to learn together and time to choose what to play.
Please tell us what helpsIf your child has medical needs, allergies, SEND/access requirements, anxiety around new activities, or anything else we should know, please include it when booking so we can support them properly.
